Black Heart Procession @ Casbah 04 23 2008

This is my second time seeing Black Hear Procession. I came to know this band by the now canceled show FOX ROX. I saw them in concert this January, but got lazy and never wrote about that show, or posted the pics. This time around, I was able to tape the whole show with my digital camera. The audio came out good, and the guys put on a great show.

A couple of things happened during the show. There was a girl that was in front who was dancing and waiving her arms while BHP played, then, when the band was getting ready to play "The Old Kind Of Summer" she got on stage, and Pall let her stay. She was a bit annoying, during the song she spilled one of the drinks. She then started dancing to the song. Dancing! Really?!?! To fricking "The Old Kind Of Summer"? That is one of the most depressing songs by BHP, and this girl is ruining it.

When the bassist, and drummer came back on stage, the bassist told her she had to get off the stage cause he needed his space back to play the bass. She was somewhat reluctant to get off stage, until one guy from the audience used one of the mics to tell the girl that we payed good money to see BHP not her. Finally a Casbah bouncer told her to get off the stage, to much applause.

Then during "Blue Water-Black Heart" Pall pointed out into the crowd and said, "Wow!" The same girl that was on stage got into a fight with the audience member that told her to get off the stage. Drinks, Shoves, and fist where thrown, and a Casbah bouncer came and "escorted" her out the place.

During "Tangled" Pall's Amp blew up. Pall tried his best to fix it during the non vocals part of the song, but had to eventually put down his guitar, and sing the song without the guitar sections. They ended up borrowing Japanese Sunday's amp.

In all, it was a crazy night for BHP, but a fun one.

The bands that played before them were good too.

Japanese Sunday was really good. They remind me of Mono, Pelican, and Sleeping People.

And Vision of a Dying World

As Always Pics and Vids of the show. If anybody saw this blog and saw no videos, I apologize. I had my 4 wisdom tooth pulled yesterday, and was uploading the videos, but was in no mood to write.

VIDEOS:

17 tracks were played, if you take into consideration Tobias' pianos solos while Pall was fixing his amp.
