The Year In Review

2005 is almost over. This by far has been the fastest year that has passed by. I feel like it was yesterday that it was the end of 2004, and 2005 was about to start. This year I was busy working, working, and more working, for pennies literally.

This year I got to see Depeche Mode live and in front row! I also got to see Dead Can Dance. Two of the most influential bands when I was growing up. I also got to rekindle old friendships and met new people.

I got to go to Comic Con again and had a blast. I also found out that the government is just as vicious as mother nature.

So maybe i'll write about all the experiences that I had this year in the coming days. I would love to write about Dead Can Dance and Depeche Mode, since that was one hell of a good time.

That's What Friends Are For

On Tuesday this week I got a call from somebody.

"Hey man. How would you like a 360"

THE XBOX 360.

"Ofcourse!!!!" I replied.

And now I sit happily as I see that my 360 shall be at my doorsteps this coming Tuesday. This thing has been a nightmare to get. I spent a few hours at Best Buy only to be burned cause they decided to give away the tickets the night before and failed to mention anything to the crowd that form that morning. The most ironic thing was that the Exchange on the base that I work for (which is 5 minutes away from where I live) was selling the damn thing. One of the guys that was able to buy one at the Exchange told me, "Yeah! I got here at 6:30am and I got one of the last 5 tickets!" I left for Best Buy at 4:00am that day.

So on Tuesday when I got the call, I was floored. I owe the boys in Iowa big time now. It is pretty sweet to see how people that I started playing XBL 3 years ago have become real friends.

The people at work were telling me, "Are you sure you want to send $400.00 to somebody you never met?" and I replied, "I've been playing with them for 3 years. We are a close nit unit!"

So once again a big thanks to the All-Stars, I will forever be at their debt........tear

Follow Freeman!

Today I had the pleasure of finally beating Half Life 2. This game left me in totally amazed. It also left me more satisfied than Halo 2. Everything that was wrong with Halo 2's solo campaign was done right in Half Life 2. From keeping the music intact rather than hiring big name bands, to not over exploiting the solid story like Halo 2 did in theirs. To actually keeping the game suspense, rather than just run and shoot like Halo 2 did. Bungie needs to look at this game and see what a real sequel needs to be like.

If your computer can meet the requirements, then get Half Life 2. I guarantee there are going to be times where you are going to jump from your chair and scream. Plus don't forget to turn around when you are under the huge tunnel when you hear a rumble :)

Congrats to Valve for making one heck of an awesome game. It truthly deserves all the awards it has gotten.

Summer's Gone

Well today is the first day of Fall. I always play this song when I hear that summer is ending. Is from one of my favorite groups, Placebo.

The Drunk and The Spammer

One thing that I like about blogs is the ability to read comments after a post. While I don't get that many comments, when I see a number other than zero next to the comment section, I get a warm, fuzzy feeling inside. So on the blog below I see I got one comment. I check on it and it is spam. Damn bastards! Time to turn the word verifier ON!

This weekend I got to spend sometime at my co-workers' house for his birthday. Man can his wife cook one heck of a mean meal. Nothing like taking an extra plate home. And all the Kegs in the world are at this guy's house. He turned his garage into a bar and modified an old fridge to work as a TAP (Keg is kept at the REQUIRED TEMP to keep the Keg as fresh as possible) The damn thing has a Bud Light Tap outside so the beer can flow!!

The guy is my hero.

The Drunk and The Mode

These last two weeks, I've gotten a change to see some of the people that I used to work with when I was in the Marines.

Besides getting extremely wasted to the point of black out, I started to smoke again. 10 years, 10 FUCKING YEARS!!! 1995 was the last time that I tasted the nicotine, and my God, how have I missed your sweet flavor my dear nicotine!

I have not gone out and party in such a long time that it was fun as hell just to get wasted and talk so much crap about my friends like I did that night. The day after was another story. Headaches, barfing, the old feeling. It looks like I might be doing some of that more since I've visited old friends regurlarly since two weeks ago.

In other news, The official music video for Depeche Mode has finally hit! Furthermore, they are coming to San Diego on Nov 19 2005!!! I can't wait to see them live and buy their new album!

WFMU again!

When I was growing up in the mid 90's, I used to listen to a lot of "free form" radio in New Jersey.

WFDU 89.1
WBAI 99.5
WFMU 99.1

Thanks to the advancements in technology, I am able to listen to WFMU while at work. http://www.wfmu.org/

There was nothing like walking around New York City with my headphones on and litening to such stations.

If you want to hear totally whacked out music then give 99.1 WFMU a listen.

This is the only station that my firewall at work permits me to listen to, but the other two stations are just as good

No Colombian restaurants in San Diego?

The last time I had some Colombian food was back in 2001 when I went back to New Jersey on leave. I have not had any Colombian food since that time frame. Almost four years, four years without tasting the great Colombian food.

I did a search for restaurants in San Diego, and I cannot believe that there is not a single Colombian restaurant here. There are a lot of Mexican restaurants, but I am really getting tire of the Mexican food.

I would do anything to have a Colombian "Arepa" as well as a "Bandeja Paisa" with "Chorizo" and ground beef. Damn, my mouth just waters thinking about the damn plate. This is another reason to hate San Diego. I don't see much a Colombian community here. There's a big Asian and Mexican community, but that is really much it.

If you are a Colombian woman living in San Diego and you read this, then contact me :)

I really miss home now, there is nothing like NYC!

The Captive Heart

I've been listening to this song The Captive Heart from Brendan Perry's melancholy 1997 solo album "Eye Of The Hunter" all week.

Brendan Perry is half of Dead Can Dance. Hopefully tickets will still be on sale next Friday. I don't have enough money to buy tickets this week and the venue that they are playing here in San Diego is nearly sold out.

I love the mood of this song. Dark, jazzy, and a sense of sadness fills the air before Brendan starts singing. The guitar sets the mood right away while the drumming fills the air like the smoke of a cigarette. Then Brendan sings the song in such a strong voice that it pierces the ambiance of the song itself. I can almost see this song being played in a smoky bar while taking a sip from my whisky, as Brendan is strumming away on his guitar.

While I like the song as a whole, parts of the song stand out for me lyrically;

Seems like I've loved you all my life
Never thought I'd find you
One day the muse may lend these words wings
So I can touch you

and

But hey!
Don't worry if the feelings not strong for you
I have lived my life in accordance
To the windfalls of passion
Though I know what it means
To be loved and then forgotten

If you want to hear music that has lyrics with deep meaning, then I highly recommend checking out Dead Can Dance as well as Brendan's solo album.

Acting Is A Craft.

After watching Sci Fi's Bloodsuckers, it has come to my attention that acting is indeed an art form. The Sci Fi is, ofcourse, known for making some of the most compelling sci fi movies ever. Who can forget Mansquito or better yet, Sabertooth, or that movie were they used footage of a regular shark and just super imposed it on another screen to make it look massive.

I can't remember the title of the shark movie, but it is worth seeing just to see the scene were a guy in a jet ski gets eaten by the shark (Jet Ski included I might add).

http://www.scifi.com/bloodsuckers/

Someone stole my idea!

Well not exactly, but I was surprised that somebody had, in one way or another, a similar idea to a music video. I happen to see the new video for The Bravery titled Fearless

I happened to have a similar idea back in late 2004, but instead involving cars. The song I had the idea for is Blonde Redhead's Oh James off their excellent 1997 album "Fake Can Be Just As Good"

Too me the song just has that "Chase Scene" feel to it. I would have had each member of the band (3 of them) on the hood of 3 cars, singing and playing while a car chase ensued. Ofcourse this would have been a stupidly great risk for safety. Having people on the hood of a car going about 80MPH while being chased, and the way the song ends will suggest somekind of crash. Too bad I did not attend NYU when I was young.

I am not trained as a director and the few videos I've made were for a friend's website are amateur at best.

But still, it was about 2 years ago that I wanted to go into film school, just cause I had so much fun making the videos for my friend's site.

So check out the links and enjoy the music!

We must protect the children...

...From a "M" rated game.

I just realized while at work that all the crap out there about how GTA: SA "Hot Coffee" is for Adults Only, is based around a game that is meant to be played by Adults. I know is hard to believe, but I guess 17 is consider the age of manhood, or womanhood.

I would say make the "M" rated for people 18 or older. I mean it makes sense. At 18, you are considered an adult. You graduate from High School and go to College or whatever path you take. My main point is that this is the age were you are expected to be on your own, to evolve.

I play Conker online alot, and I am extremely surprised at how many 13 yr old are playing this game. It is irresponsible of the parents, you can't blame the companies. The parents are in direct fault of thier kids coming in contact with such a product.

My parents were heavily filtering all the things that I saw. Wheather it was an R rated movie, to video games, my dad and mon where there to explain things to me.

Maybe that is why I am so screwed in the head!

How Can U Lose With Pocket Kings?

You might ask.

I decided to play a little bit of WCP for the Xbox. Ever since I learned how to play Texas Hold'em I've just fallen in love with the game.

However, tonight it was just about painful losses. I had 3 of a kind to which I lost to a Straight on The River on a "All In". Next game was a loss to 3 of a Kind with a pair of pocket Kings and a pair of Jacks as I went "All In" again.

Poker. It takes a few minutes to learn, and a lifetime to master. How true...how true

Stuff I got at this and previous Comic Con's

I decided to post a few pics from stuff I've gotten from this and previous year's Comic Con.

I was doing a pic by pic posting, but Firefox screwed up and closed everything before I could save. So here's a link to an album I created. There are Evangalions, MechWarriors, Cute Robots that do a shuffle when you wind them up, along with comics from my favorite series.

http://usera.imagecave.com/modous/My_figures/

I like to point out this one:

I gave one to the girl at work, her replied was, "Hey! It looks like you!" to which I gave her the finger.

The one thing you will noticed about the Master Chief Lt ed is that it carries a Shotgun instead of a Battle Rifle and it also has a pistol. That was a surprised on top of a surprised!

I would also like to point out that the Adam figure that I got at 2001's Comic Con is basically a glow in the dark version of the Unit 01. Which I think was indeed Adam in the Anime series.

Correction To Master Chief Limited Edtion from Comic Con

Today I decided to open the box that has the Camo Master Chief (no worries about value going down). Previously I posted that there was no rifle included(as shown in the pic from the Comic-Con.org). However, the camo rifle was hidden behind the Master Chief. So it does include the Battle Rifle along with the Plasma Sword. Sweetness!!!

I need to take some pics of my figures collections and post them here. I collect figures cause as a kid I did not have that many. This is a way to get in touch with my inner child. Plus, for some reason I see some of these figures as art. The detail to them surpases the belief that they are toys (in my eyes anyway)

COMIC CON 2005 REPORT:DAY 4

The final day of the Con had come. Five days had already pass? It seemed so unreal. However, when I look back at all I've seen and done during the Four previous days at the Con, it was really amazing.

The day started by getting into the Con about 5 mins earlier. Sneaked in Solid Snake style. I got to the JoyRide booth once again to try, for the final time, to get another limited edition Master Chief. I got on line and got a ticket and then made my way to Hall H to see them play a series of trailers, then the Cry Wolf panel and finally the Doom panel.

Trailer Park is where they play a lot of trailers for upcoming movies. They showed:

The Island

Hellbent. This one seems to be a weird movie. It is about a serial killer that kills only gay men. The trailer shows a bunch of "straight" guys that for one one indulge in homo-erotica stuff. The trailer was really gay(no pun intended) some people were uneasy about the whole man on man thing. I mean this trailer showed guys kissing and doing some really gay stuff.

Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Is Wallace and Gromit, need I say more?

Into The Blue. Somekind of triller about some people that find a treasure and have some bad guy come after them to get teh money. Jessica Alba is in it and she wears a swimsuit most of the time. :)

The New World. It is the story about Pocahonta. Starring Will Ferrel(you know that Irish guy. Dont know if I spelled the name right)

Red Eye. I like this trailer. It starts with a guy and a girl meeting at the airport and they strike a conversation. The trailers leads us in the path that this is a love story. Eventually the girl finds out that she has a seat next to the guy that she has been running into the airport. She then asks him what business he is in and he says that she is her business. it turns out that this guys is hired to keep her hostage and if she does anything that her father will be killed. This one seems like it is going to be a good movie.

Boo. A trailer that started good and then sadly falls into your sterotypical teen horro flick. The trailer showed potentianl. However, we all laughed when we saw that the titled of the movie is actually "Boo". That is just plain stupid.

Nightwatch. This looks like a real good film. It is made in Russia and the subtitles are interactive with what goes on in the screen. Think of Broken Saints in a live format. This one looks like it is going to be really good. It is about the balance between the forces of good and evil and how they try to balance each other.

Zathera. I can't remember. I guess the trailer was not that impressive.

Slither. A horror movie that pushes the boundries. The trailer starts by showing names for classic horror movies followed by, "Those movies were for pussies."

Aeon Flux. Already posted about it.

Legend Of Zorro. Antonio banderas anb Seta-Jones are back, along with their kid(movie kid). This seems to be a fun movie.

Serenity. Do I need to say more? If you know Serenity, you will like.

Corpse Bride. Already posted about it.

Harry Potter. Already posted about it. Potter will go to the dark side. I so hope so.

King Kong. The trailer has been out for awhile.

The next panel was the one for Cry Wolf. the movie is about a bunch of kids at a boarding school in Virgina that decide to play Mafia. Mafia is a game were people are rewarded for being the best liar. So two of the kids come up with the idea to create a killer. It turns out that the real killer gets pissed about the story they have made and decides to start his own killing spree at the school.

This movie looks promising. The writer/director said how he was at Comic Con 2004 just walking the showroom since he is a big fan of comics and got the call from the studio saying that the movie was approved for production. He also had 3 hot girls at the panel. They were really attractive, specially the asian girl.

Next was the panel for Doom. Since I am too lazy to write again. Here's what i posted about the movie at gamertag.com.

Today I was able to get into Hall H of the Convention Center for the panel on the Doom movie. The panel started with Chris Carle(of IGN.com). He then introduced one of the guys from Id, followed by a co-star of the movie(cant remember his name but he was in LOTR) and then The Rock.

Let me start by saying that this guy pretty much asked all the questions during the panel and sugarcoted the entire interview. He did not ask any questions as far as why people infected with a virus rather than the demons of Hell.He then introduced two of the producers which showed the trailer for the movie.

The Trailer itself is ok. It did not leave us breathless like Superman Returns did. However, the movie does show promise in a blow things up kinda way. But they did say that the movie takes place in Mars and eventually it seems to work it's way to earth perhaps.

The following can be consider a SPOILER so read at your own advice.

The video was introduced by one of the producers as "Something that has not been done in Hollywood before."The clip starts with the co-star laying down and slipping to the floor, while a female character calls out his name. The camera then zooms into his eyes and we start to see everything thru his eyes. We see him get up and walk towards a mirror in which he proceeds to wipe the blood of his face, and goes towards a door that opens. The entire video was done like a FPS!!! We see him pull out his gun, we see him reload, we hear him taking deep breath. He starts to walk down the corridors and monsters and people infected come at him! All very FPS like. We see some of the Imps!! Yes they are in the movie. As the clip ends we see our co-star battle an Imp that has the Chainsaw and shoots his arm off. We also see him get hit and fall off the ledge to the lower level and gets his gun back and keeps on firing.

The entire thing was just fricking cool! The things has not been completed yet, so we were treated to some raw material, but it still looks promising! As i said, the guy from ign took up most of the panel time asking the usual questions. "How you(the actors) got interested in the movie" "Why did the producers decided to work on Doom" "How hard was it to make the film"The guy literaly did his little own interview for ign in front of us.Somehow they eventually let the fans ask some questions.

I got in line so I could ask the obvious question. The fans then asked why change the stuff about hell and the producers gave us the typical "We wanted to do something new" and "somethings just need to be changed to make things work"Somebody asked if this movie will be like Street Fighter: The movie, which the producers laughed and said, "We told the studio that this will not be watered down. This cannot be a Pg-13 movie." That statement generated thunderous applause from the crowd.

Eventually it was my time to ask a question. Something I did not think i was going to be able to do since the ign guy took most of the time. I also realized that all of my main questions had been asked, so I had to scramble for a question and avoid looking like an idiot in front of The Rock(something the guy that was ahead of me did, not his little cousin, but the grown up)When it was my time to get the microphone I just said,

"Rock, let me first just say that we miss you in the WWE." That got the room to start cheering and applauding.

I then said,

"We miss the people's elbow."The Rock said that he misses the WWE too, he said it in a melancholy tone.

I then asked the panel, "Why not use the writers that make the storyline for the video games to make the script for the movie rather than just use them as consultants?"The answer I got was that those type of writers do not have experience working on a movie script, but they said that it is possible that in the future such a thing could very well happen.

In all the movie looks promising. Just dont expect oscars and for this movie to have the answer to the meaning of life. i think it will be all action and video game references, and being faithful to the Doom series.

After the panel was over i made my way to the JoyRide booth. it turned out that the ticket it got was for a raffle. I was not guarantee a figure. Which I did not get. :(

I walked the floor for abit and then when to the Nintento panel were they displayed 3 new games. Pokemon, Fire Emblem and Zelda. They pretty much played the Zelda demo that was in the showroom plus a real cool boos battle. Which was also playable in the showroom. the other two games look good, but did not grab my attention.

I then walked the showroom again and bought a few things for the girl at work and my friend back in Jersey.

My friend aske me to get her some Hentia. Which I said I would and she said that I would not dare to do such a thing. So she will be surprised when she gets the Hentia in the mail. i felt like a pervert looking at the magazines and they were expensive too! So I got one in the mid prive range.

I was really tired from the entire 5 days that I had been at Comic Con. I felt sad that they event had come to an end. Somehow I feel that this is my life. Comic Con is where I feel most at home. It is the place were i see my peers. I had a blast the whole 5 days. This is the best Comic Con that I have attended in the entire 5 years that I have gone to it. It was a real uplifting expereince.

From meeting the great guys from Broken Saint, to meeting the guys from Red Vs Blue. To being at the panel to Superman and Harry Potter. Talking to The Rock and seeing that Doom the movie has promise. To ofcourse the Final Fantasy concert. My only regret is that I was not able to share this with my friend or the girl from work. I tried to get her to come on Saturday since there were things that I know she would have loved to have seen. But tha's how life is. Is really hard to find someone that has the same devotions I have to the world fo sci-fi, games and ofcourse comics.

Sometimes is better to go alone so I can see all the panels that I want to see and do what i want to do when I want. Still, there were time where I wished I could have turned to someone and said, "Did you see that? awesome!" i did, but to the strangers around me.

Enough malancholy! I cannot wait for Comic Con 2006. Hopefully i will still be here in San Diego and if not, I will fly here and stay the 5 days for the convention.

Gabriel Out!

COMIC CON 2005 REPORT:DAY 3

Day 3 started of early...too early if you ask me, but it was worth it.

I woke up at 5:45am, still tired from yeaterday, I got out of bed around 6:10am. Made some breakfast, took a shower and headed for the convention center at 7:15am. I arrived at 7:30am and saw that there was a line already for HALL H. Today's panel at Hall H consited of: Superman Returns, Aeon Flux, and Kevin Smith. There was more, but I was really just interested in these threes.

They actually allowed us to go into Hall H early! Around 9:00 am. At 10:30am the first panel came up.

It was Bryan Singer. Who just got off a flight and looked really tired. He did say that he had to attend Comic Con cause, #1 Comic Con is the biggest Comic book Convention, and #2 it is Superman!

"Superman is the ultimate immigrant." Singer replied, it got a few chuckles from the crowd, but Singer did not mean the comment to come out the way it did.

Singer said that this movie follows after the events from the first Superman film. He agreed with the crowd about Superman II and also laughed at the comment that was made on Family Guy with the S.

Singer surprised us by bringing a full video of the film running at about 7mins!

Now this might be a SPOILER!!! SO YOU ARE WARNED!

The video starts by looking at what looks to be a corn field, followed by a beautiful sunset, but actually it could be a sunrise. We then see a mailbox with the name Kent on it. Then we see Superman sitting in what looks like a throne at his ice castle(not big on superman, so I can't remember what he called his Base of Operations in Antartica) The next sequence shows a child Superman, falling from the top of the barn and hitting dividers left and right and just before he hits the ground, the sequence suggests that he floats. We find out that Superman has been missing and seems to return to his parents home via a spaceship cause we see his mother look into some smoke and we see a hand that touches her shoulder and she turns around scare and is surprised to see who it is. In this video we see a lot of flashbacks to a boy Superman, like a clip that shows him finding the crystal. We then find out that ClarkKent returns to the Daily Planet to find out that Loise Lane has gotten married and has a kid. There is a line where Lois says to Superman, "Even you cannot stop time Superman." Which got a few laughs from the crowd. She also wins a Pulitzer Prize award for a piece titled "Why the world does not need Superman." We also see Kevin Spacey who plays Lex Luthor, happens to somehow get a hold of the crystal.

In all this video acts as a mood setter. There are no action shots and the best shot is the shot of superman in outer space, sees the land, and you could see the shinny lights of the city off in space and then he just dives into the earth.

After we watched the video the entire room just broke into a long applause. Mr Singer said let's watch it again and, we did!

There are high hopes for the film and dispite the fact that some people dont like how the costume looks or who is playing Superman, this movie looks like it is going to rock.

The next panel was the Aeon Flux panel.

It seems that somebody was running late cause we were treated to Pablo. Pablo works in special effects and talked about the Special Effects in War of The World and showed a clip from that movie. After about 10 mins of talking he thanked eveyrbody and left and then the panel for Aeon Flux was announced.

The panel consisted of the creator of Aeon Flux, a producer, the director, the actor that plays Trevor, and Charlize Theron.

We were treated to a DVD quality "Making of Documentary" which was really good. This movie is really going to seem faithful to the comic. I will now paste what i wrote about Aeon Flux at gamertag.com forum...yes I am that lazy...I am just tired, it has been a long day.

POSSIBLE SPOLIERS ON AEON FLUX, so read ahead if you want. Also I just got back and I am very tired from running to the other panels, plus I got a massive headache. So please forgive me if I mispell the names.I attended the panel for Aeon Flux today and I must say that I am excited for this movie. In the panel were the creator of Aeon Flux, one of the porducers, the director, the guy that plays Trevor, and ofcourse, Charlize Theron. They played a 5-8 min clip of footage from the movie, and it rocks. The best part? they re-created the intro scene were Aeon Flux catches the fly with her eye lashes! The movie itself looks to be very stylish and sexy. There were parts of the cartoon that were re-created in the movie. So it does seem that this will be a faithful translation. Well ofcourse except for the suit that Aeon wears. They could not go with her regular skimpy suit due to being too revealing in live action."Somethings just need to remain hidden!" joked Charlize Theron. The story revolves around the last city in Earth. Just like the cartoon it is suppose to be a place for bliss. There are 5 people that are in the power in the city. Aeon is given the assignment to kill Trevor but cannot.I am pretty sure that this has been said before so I dont know how much of an exclusive I am given ya.At the end they played the RAW trailer for Aeon Flux and it looks promising.

The next panel was Kevin Smith! I wish i could re-create what he said word for word, but I can't. The man was just hilarious, from dick jokes, to mamma jokes to making fun of Jesus himself. Kevin went into a rant about Christ and after a few secs we started to hear somebody from the audience yelling that Jesus died for our sins. Kevin still ripped a new ahole to this guys and when I stood up to see who he was talking to, it turned out that he was talking to a kind in a wheelchair. Pretty hardcore for Kevin Smith, he does not care if you are dosable, he will still tear you a new asshole, in a funny way though!

It is always a pleasure to spend an hour with Kevin Smith. he talked about his new movie for Clerks 2 and that was about it. The rest of the time he just answer questions. he wil also be in the new movie from the director of Donnie Darko. He also played a clip from a TV show about a high school were he is doing a cameo.

After the Kevin Smith panel, I ran back home cause I forgot my camera. i came back to the convention and walked around. I then became plauged by a headache, which I still have by the way. So I made my way to the Film Festival again. This time the theme was Animation, and boy were we treated to some really good animation.

The Zit was the first one I was able to catch. http://www.thezitmovie.com/ It was made by a guy that works for Disney and did it in the spare time. Really funny story about a kid that is about to go out on a date but finds that he has a Zit. Very Toy Story like in the animation department and liek I said before very funny.

The next film was called Bid'em In, which is based on a saong by a civil rights activist of the 1950's. Very strong about how the slaves were auction off.

The next film was a very sweet story called The Fan And The Flower by legendary Bill Plympton.

Text taken from Mr. Plympton's website www.plymptoons.com

"Bill's new short film, "The Fan and the Flower", is now appearing in film festivals around the world. The film is about an ill-fated and unconsummated romance between an electric ceiling fan and a flower, with a magical fairytale ending. Based on a story by Dan O'Shannon, the narration for the film features the voice of Paul Giamatti (Sideways, American Splendor). "

The next film was the very excellent "9" by Shane Acker http://www.shaneacker.com/ due to the film being in the works for a feature film. Mr Acker cannot show the film outside of film festivals which is a bummer cause this film totally rocks. Please go to his wesite and click on "Films" and watch "Mr. Grenade"

The last film of the night was also good. It was called "Herman, The Legal Labrador. the thing was insanely funny. It is about a dog that becomes a lawyer and all he can do is bark, but ofcourse those in the cartoon understand what he says. Brilliant Stuff. You can see more at the website http://www.herman.nakedfella.com/

If you can somehow manage to have a chance to see these films THEN DO IT!!!!!!!! They are all short films, except for Herman, which ran at about 22 mins, but SEE THEM!!!! THEY ARE WORTH IT!!!

I am off to bed and to rest for tomorrow's final Comic Con Day :( I hate Sundays, I always hate the last day of Comic Con. Till tomorrow my friends.

COMIC CON 2005 REPORT:DAY 2

Please pardon the spelling. I dont have MS Word installed and I this spell check for blogger sucks, plus I am tire...but scroll to the end of this post and there are some pics from today's Comic Con :)

Day 2 of Comic Con began very badly. The door that I was waiting to get into was not opened at 10am. After waiting for about another 10mins I headed for another door. I made my way to the JoyRide booth and they had already sold out of the MC Lt Ed figure. That just pissed me off that Elite(The security people working the event) are so crappy. They cost me a ticket to get the Master Chief Lt Ed.

After that I headed to Hall H where Warner Bro were having their panel on V For Vandetta, The Fountain, Corpse Bride and ofcourse Harry Potter. The line to Hall H was incredibly long. Don't believe me? Take a look here

and here

http://usera.imagecave.com/modous/ComicCon05_DAY_2/DSCF1041.JPG

The line was so long that it twisted and turned like a crazy. However, once the Hall opened the line moved fast. And I was able to get a seat! That Hall is just insanely huge! I am so glad that they decided to start using that Hall. 2004's Comic Con was the first time that Hall had been used for Comic Con.

The first panel up was for V for Vandetta. The premiered the trailer, which was good, but I am not holding my breath on the movie. This is because I know very little of V for Vandetta. Natalie Portman, one of the creators for V for Vandetta were there along with the slime ball Joel Silver. I hate that fat fuck, "I cant believe people are trashing the Matrix Reloaded. The move has made over 100 mil!" Mr Silver, we trashed the Matrix Reloaded and Revolution cause the script sucked and the Washowsky(however you spell their names) dropped the ball on what could have been a great trilogy. I just pray that Mr Silver does not get his hands on Broken Saints.

The interesting thing about V for Vandetta is that one of it's co-creator refused to be part of the movie(and even demanded that his name be taken from the credits of the movie), while the other co-creator did. You think that this would be a great panel to discuss this issue, which was, briefly. The entire time was devoted to idiots asking moronic questions to Natalie Portman! The first question was by some moron who asked Natalie Portman, "Can you give me an original moment right now." Fucking moron. All the questions were straight out of a stupid teen mag. I was so disguted and bored. Nothing about the movie was discussed. Natalie Portman said, "Hey guys! There are more people here than me that would love to answer questions about the movie." I like Natalie Portman. I find her to be a good actress (love her in The Professional) and acted very mature and sincire during this teen-hormone Q&A.

After V for Vandetta, it was time for the Corpse Bride. We were treated to a greeting message from Mr Tim Burton which was cool. He is still working on Corpse Bride and promos for The Chocolate Factory. They played a clip from the movie which ran about 7 minutes and then into a musical number that was funny. I have high hopes for this movie. The panel was two procuders who talked about the stop animation and how they hate that people are doing more CGI and saying that stop animation is dead (which the room broke into thunderous applause). They were fun to listen to and really enjoy the work that they do.

Then the panel for The Fountain came on. The Fountain is directed by the same man who directed Pi(cant do the sign for it) and Requiem Tony Scott and the beautiful Rachel Weisz (I swear everytime she spoke it was as if I was falling in love. i just love her accent) Hugh Jackman stars in the movie too, but he could not be there. We were also treated to a very humorous gretting clip from him. He starts by saying that he loves the work that he is doing in X3..he then stops and says ohh The Fountain! This is for The Fountain? This movie looks really good. They showed the first 10mins of the movie and if you played Xenogears, I think it is the same idea, and far as the relationship between Fei and Allie. Rachel Weisz also gave away a big part of the movie, but what she revealed, I kinda figured from the 10mis they showed. This was the highlight of the panel. I will defitnetly see this movie!

Ofcourse Harry Potter was next, and they actually messed up in the panel. Before The Fountain panel came up, the accidently announced that it was time for Harry Potter and showed a 5 min clip of the movie. the clip was very raw, you could see that they are still working on the special effects. Let me tell you something first, this movie seems to be going dark. I swear that Harry Potter is looking more and more like Anaken Skywalker. I sure do hope that he starts doing some dark magic shit and tears that school apart...that would be awesome!

After the panel was over I headed for the Broken Saints booth and bought the 4-disc DVD. i just got done playing the first 4 chapters and all I can say is "OH MY GOD!" what work of body this Broken Saints is. Amazing work.

I also stopped by the Red Vs Blue booth and bought all 3 seasons and got season1 sign by most of the cast. Tex is there and she is hot!

I then went to the Film Festival room and saw a bunch of movies that suck. the main one was this movie called "Outpost" what we saw was the trailer to a series they are trying to have done. Awful, I wanted to chew on my own vomit than to watch another minute. What was more sickening you might ask? The fact that some of the people that worked in the film were there and one guy in particular kept laughing at the jokes that they were trying to do on screen. Nobody in the room laugh, but you could hear this obnosious guys laughing like he watching South Park The Movie. The guys were uneasy to go up to the front of the room and talk about the film cause they could sense that the movie did not go well with the crowd. Except for the guy that kept laughing, the entire crew that was there was actually pretty cool. The director answered all questions honestly and one of the actors had a degree in acting and has been acting for 20 years now, and believe me dispite the fact that the movie suck, he was pretty good in it. the guy that kept laughing got his acting degree from an online course...what a shocker!

I then headed to Mike Mignola panel. Mike Mignola is the creator of Hellboy which is one of my favorite characters ever since I saw the movie. He discussed future plans for Hellboy and he also had some writers and artist in the panel.

I walked the showroom some more and saw some TMNT comics. i bought the #1 issue of Tennage Mutant Ninja Turtles! well it is 5th edition, which makes it worthless, and I bought book 1 of Return to New York series. In this series that is were Leanardo fights The Shredder one more time and decapitates him! i sure hope i can find books 2 and 3 tomorrow. I also purchase a few Hellboy comics and then saw that Kevin Eastman was in the Heavy Metal booth!!! So ofcourse I made my way with my nwe recently purchased TMNT comics and asked him if he could sign them which he did! How awesome is that?

To end the night, i headed to Cartoon Network's Adult Swim panel. They had another one today. i dont watch adult swim alot, so alot of the shows that they showcased where new to me, but Robot Chicken is just hilarious! I have got to watch that. The night ended with the announcement that a movie of Dr Weird is being made. Also a movie about one of Adult Swim's lineup is being made into a movie, but I cant remember the name. it involves a meatball, a really fat guy, a soft drink and some megabite looking thingys. Funny stuff and I wil lbe watching Adult Swim sunday night.

Gabe out for the night! Tomorrow is going to be a long day. I have to arrive to the Convention Center 2 hours ealier to ensure a seat in the Kevin Smith, Superman and Aeon Flux panel!

COMIC CON 2005 REPORT:DAY 1 AND FINAL FANTASY CONCERT REVIEW

Jesus!!!

Day 1 has proven to be quite the task! I swear that I must have lost at least 15 lbs of water weight. Note to self, instead of putting lemonade in a water bottle use actual water instead. Lemonade made me just as thirsty as I was before I took a SIP of my water bottle. You see, if I want a bottle of water at Comic Con, it will cost me about 5 bucks. If I want a cheap looking pizza or sandwich, it will cost me 8 bucks. So, I maded my own sandwich and made some Country Time Lemonade and put it in my water bottle.

Where to begin,

I arrived at the Convention Center around 9:30 am. The showroom opens up at 10:00am. People that had badges were allowed to go upstairs(That's where all the rooms that have the panels are held. The best quote about the San Diego Convention Center came from a visitor who said, "My God! This is an airport!" Yes my friends, the place IS THAT BIG. I decided to make my way back down cause the dummies upstairs created a line to get into the showroom at 10:00 am. In reality all you have to do is just wait downstairs and wait for the doors to open. There are about 15 doors that let you into the showroom, so over crowding is not an issue as far as waiting for the doors to open.

Once the doors opened I headed straight for the JoyRide booth. They are the ones that have the Halo Limited Ed Master Chief. It turns out that I could only reserve one and will try again tomorrow and see if I can get another. Funny thing is that when I arrived at the booth at noon to pay for my Master Chief, as soon as I bought mine a guy offered me 50 bucks. The thing costed me 20. The figure looks just like the regular Master Chief from the JoyRide products. I am not a big fan of it, but it is a Limited Ed. So it might be worth something. The plasma sword is sweet looking, but there is no rifle. What gives? The pic had a MC holding a camo rifle too!

After I grabbed my ticket to pick up the Master Chief at noon, I decided to walk the showroom. I ended up going to the Nintendo booth and what did you know? They had a huge Pokemon display with them. We all know that Nintendo is Pokemon's bitch. The Pokemon franchise alone has helped Nintendo from being knee high in shit.

However, they did have a PLAYABLE version of the new Zelda, and the thing FUCKING ROCKS!!! In this demo we get to ride as a grown up Link in a horse chasing after a boss who's riding in a mean looking bull. As you chase and attack the boss, you got other guys in horses chasing you and shooting burning arrows at you. The thing that I loved about this demo was this little detail. You can actually see the shadows of the clouds that are up high in the sky. This detailed just helped me become more entranced with the whole game. After you weaken the boos long enough, there's a cutscene where Link chases the boss to this long bridge. The boss is at one end, Link's at the other. You then proceed to play a game of joust with the boss. After enough hits, one of Link's hits is strong enough to knock the boss out of his bull and falls of the bridge....By the way it is a long fall.

Actually before I went to the Nintendo booth I stopped by The Transformers booth and took a picture of the massive truck. The movie is due out on 07-04-07. I got no idea if that is an exclusive, but I don't recall hearing of a release date for the movie before yesterday. At the end of the blog I'll post a link to an album with pics that I took today.

After the Nintendo booth I decided to go see the Broken Saint panel. If you do not know what Broken Saints is then go here.

http://bs.brokensaints.com/#

Meeting the guys was a blast. The creator of this show is very talkative and it shows that he has so many ideas and is really proud of the Broken Saint project. A real humble guy. Who made video games for EA before he did Broken Saints. We all laughed when he mentioned EA and said that he did not enjoyed most of his time there. I am paraphrasing, so he did not say that word for word. But he did tell an interesting story about him, EA and a game he was working on...James Bond Racing. I later was able to find their booth and told him that I would buy the Broken Saints 4-DVD set tomorrow since that's when I get pay.

After the Broken Saints panel, it was time for me to kick into high gear. I went to Copley Symphony Hall to buy tickets for the Final Fantasy concert. I first stopped home to eat something and then headed over there. Man was it hot outside. I was sweating like a pig the whole time.

Once I got back to the Convention with my FF concert ticket I headed for the Independent Film Festival Section. Today the theme was humor. I saw a film called The Fax, which was ok. After that they showed a film called Brave New Fear. All I gotta say is GO SEE IT!!! The best 15 mins you could ever spend. The film deals with a Superhero villain that is captured and then released 30 yrs later when he is all old. The film shows him trying to become the man that was once feared. Great stuff, I laughed the entire time. Also, this film is part of the 48HoursFilm competion where people have 48 hours to make a film. I was impressed by what was accomplished in the film in just 48 hours. Followed by that was a lack luster film called Big Bear Billy. The film sucked, barely funny and really boring. After each film played, some of the directors were there to talk about the film. It was pretty neat hearing their stories and how they came up with the ideas for the film.

I happened to see the Aeon Flux booth and I got to say that Charlize Theron looks incredibly beautiful as Aeon Flux. The look is radically different from the cartoon...Maybe not Trevor, the actor the plays him does resemble a bit of the cartoon character. All they showed were stills of the movie, but it seems that there are a total of 7 main characters in the film. Aeon, Trevor, and what I believe are 5 assassins.

After seeing those films and Aeon Flux, it was time to go to the EVENT of all events for Comic Con 2005 Day 1 "Spotlight on Bruce Campbell" I know the man is a legend, but I know very little about him. After spending an hour with him in a conference room I have determine that Bruce Campbell is the MOST SARCASTIC ASSHOLE I HAVE EVER MET!! And that my friends is a GOOD thing. The guy was fucking amazing, nothing but the best. When asked when certains movies would be released on DVD he said,"I...AM...AN...ACTOR!!!! THEY....DONT....TELL...ME....SHIT! You guys will know before I do when the film gets released on DVD!"

He also announced that his book is being released on 6 disc audio. He played a clip of it and I was able to capture it on my digital camera, which works also as an audio grabber. I hope that you guys can understand what he is talking about

http://members.cox.net/modous/DSCF1028.WAV

I also have a video of him talking about what irritates him the most about Hollywood, but I cant get my ISP to host the file cause is more than 10mb...I'll try my best to edit it and turn it to wmv.

After the Awesome hour spent with Bruce Campbell I walked the floor some more, by this time it was around 4:30pm. I then made my way to Cartoon Network's Adult Swim's panel which was schedule for 2 hrs. These guys are amazing and incredibly funny. Not like Comedy Central's Drawn Together panel that was here last year, corny and stupid was the best way to describe them. But as I said, the Adult Swim guys were amazing, and they showed some of the shows that are currently being worked on and should appear in Adult Swim in about a year(God Willing)

One show is called Lucy. She is the daughter of Satan. One of the episodes deals with her father having to deal with Lucy moving to San Francisco and meeting a Hispanic DJ called Jesus.

Another show is called (something) Orel. It is a claymation show JUST like David And Goliath, but with humor similar to South Park

And the best show:

MinoriTeam: 5 superheros that are nothing but pure stereotypes. One hero is Latino and called "EL JEFE" and with his "Super Leaf Blower" is able to fly. The most unpolitical correct show EVER!!!

By the way they showed clips for all the shows I just mention and believe me. They are worth watching!

Finally(no pun intended) Final Fantasy Concert.

The concert was right behind the Convention Center and it was great. The played Liberati Fatale, Zanarkand and a bunch of others songs. One of the highlights of the concert was that during the songs, they showed clips of the CG movies for whatever series of the game the music was playing. During "Love Grows" they showed the dance sequence where Squall is dancing with Reona(I dont know If I am spelling the names right...Anyway FF8...the two lovers...Is 1230am and I need sleep ok!) Right when the video shows that there are fireworks in the CG sequence, wouldn't you know! Real fireworks started going off.

The concert was in the Embarcadero Marine South Park...Which is an open venue right next to the bay. Truthly beautiful place, and when the fireworks went off, we were all surprised by it. When the concert ended we were abit disappointed thet Sephiroth was not played, but the conductor walked out and so did the choir and guess what...They started to play Sephiroth!! The conductor said that the song was so good they were going to do it again and we were treated to an encore of the Sephiroth song! (again I don't know if I spelled the name right so I apologize)

This is just Day 1!!!!! Tomorrow there's already more great stuff waiting to happen. This by far has been the best Comic Con I have attended.

As promised here are the pics I took today...Enjoy!

COMIC CON 2005 REPORT: Preview Night

Before I continue I got to say something.

I usually go to Comic Con with my best friend here in San Diego. He is still in the Marines and has deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan in about a year's timeframe. He is just as devoted to comics as I am. He had to go to Sgt Course last month and I have not heard from him. I called his cell today and left a msg. A few secs later he called me back. He told me that he had to go back home because his mother has just been diagnose with cancer.

All I can say is: Cruz, I've been there. My mom is a cancer survivor since 1998 when she was diagnose with breast cancer. I am here for you bro! Your mom is in my thoughts and best wishes. I Sincerely hope that she recorvers.

Comic Con has arrive in San Diego!

It feels like it was only last week that I walked away from Comic Con 2004 saying to myself that I hope July 2005 comes fast, and guess what it has! Last year we had to wait in line for almost tow hours to get our badges. You see, if you pre-register for all 4-days early, you get to go to preview night to pick up your badge and well...see the showroom a day earlier. What happened in 2004 was that instead of having people manning the desks to take in your pre-regirster paperwork, they had computers. Computers are not for everybody, some people just don't know what to do when all they have is a monitor, a keyboard, and a mouse. In all honesty the computer system they had last year was good. However, some people were just not able to work with it, thus the prolonged wait in line.

This year there was no line, none, nill!!! I was truthly surprise! I walked into the place waiting to stay in line, play a game of porker on my cell while listening to music. The showroom was suppose to open at 6pm, and it did! Just not where we were waiting to go in. Security kept holding us back. I noticed that 3 doors down from where we were people were being let in. So two other guys and I maded our way there. Once we were inside we walked past the door that was not letting us in and I say "3 doors down!" the looks on peoples faces that saw me in line with them and all of the sudden saw me inside the showroom was priceless.

This year there were more people in the Preview Night. It almost felt like it was Saturday It was insane. I saw the guys from Red Vs Blue and Penny Arcade. I found a comic that a friend of mine had requested and then went on my search for the limited edition of Halo 2's Master Chief. It turned out that it sold out for the night and they will have 200 more for sale tomorrow and another 200 on Friday for 20 bucks. Altogether I hate Bungie for how they destroyed the story of Halo, I still love the Master Chief and I am getting that figure....Period! Plus a friend of mine wants one and this is the only way I could think of paying him back for all the great things he has done at gamertag.com

The Transformers booth is really neat! They actually got a Big Red Truck all covered up!!!! I hope they dismantled it tomorrow I cant wait to see what it looks like. On the mantle it gives the date that the movie is being released....which...I cant remember now! DAMN IT!!! Pay attention man!!! I could have had an exclusive for you guys instead I completely F'd up!

I got back from work, put my messenger bag down, empty it, took a piss, picked it back up and headed for the Convention Center, so I forgot to take my digital camera with me. However in tomorrow's post I will have links to pics ready, plus the Final Fantasy Concert is tomorrow too :)

Why I Could Never Play Hangman in High School Again...Ever!

Gotta give credit to my boy Keg for bringing back memories while I read his blog:

http://fuggo.blogspot.com/

I wish my class would have been like that. One time while playing hangman during my English class in my freshman year of High School, the word looked like this:

org_ _ _ _

I said Orgasm, and my teacher just looked at me with her eyes and mouth wide open.

The word was Organic. Go figure

Comic Con 2005

So here it is! Comic Con 2005. Well actually tomorrow. I already purchased my 4-day pass so I get to go to tomorrow's Preview Night!

I can't believe that a year has gone by already since the last Comic Con. I love Comic Con cause I get to re-live my younger days. I remember when I wanted to have a toy, but could not because of the poor living we had. Born and raised in Venezuela till 1986. That's when I came to the USA. Once I was here, I began to collect comics. From X-Men, to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (My fav of all times and I got to meet Kevin Eastman at last year's Comic Con!) I was filled with sadness when I found out that my mom got rid of all my comics when I got station in San Diego to make the room I slept in into a guest room. That is another story where I must learn to forgive.

Still I cannot wait till tomorrow. I wish I could take the girl from work. She wants to go, but not with me! I understand though, so I am not really hurt. I've come to accept the facts. I got no problem going with her as friends. Which reminds me! I will make a new blog after this about a funny story involving me and her.

I still need to do my homework about Comic Con cause there are some people from the gamertag.com website which I would like to get them stuff. They have requested it and have been modest enough to say, "Hey man! Only if it is not a problem with ya!" Ofcourse I don't have a problem. They have helped me enjoyed my XBL experience! This is the least I could do.

The Love Thieves

I decided to bring all my CD’s to work again. I have them all converted to mp3’s and burned them to CDR’s. It is incredible that I can carry over 800 albums in about 90 discs. I noticed one that I have not used in a while. It has some music from my favorite soundtrack, which is Xenogears and just random music that I downloaded from the 2000 timeframe. On this CD I saw a few folders that had files in them. I noticed that one of them had the name of a girl I was in love with back in the 1999-2001 timeframe. I open the folder and read the emails that I had saved. They were all from the early 2000 timeframe when I was deployed to Japan.

It brought a warm smile to me to read some of them and almost tears when I read others. I just realized how long it has been since I’ve been somebody where it felt comfortable to say the simple three words “I love you”. I’ve not said it a lot since being with her. The last person I told it to told me not to say it again. And the one person I wanted to tell it the most has deaf ears towards me.

It is ridicously hard to find someone to be with. Sure, it is simple to meet someone at a bar, take her to my place, and just fuck. However, it is so much different when you meet someone that makes your heart beat a different way. Someone who makes you feel so strong and weak at the same time. Someone who you can’t help but smile when you see them walk into a room or hear their voice while you are busy at your cubicle. I’ve spent such a long time trying to forget this side of me. So much wanting to be a regular guy that’s just interested in the physical aspects of being with a woman. I know my day will come. I know it will. When I least expect it, there she will be and I will look back at this post and see how great life is.

Survival of the Fittest

"I dove under a chair, the man whose chair I dove under died. I'm asking myself why am I still alive."

This is a statement that a woman gave that survived the shooting that happened in a hotel while a church service was going on. I read this statement and cannot believe why this lady does not know the reason why she is alive. In short words, she took the other's man hiding spot.

Since I've had training on what to do when you are under fire, I think I can come to a conclusion of what happened that day.

Keep in mind that all of this occurs within seconds, which are running out. As the gunman started to shoot, people obviously began to run and duck for their life. Given the normal seating arrangement when you are in a religious service, you don’t have a lot of room to move around at all depending on how many people are sitting on that row. Also, as the shots began to ring, some people just turned around or stayed at their seats confused as to what was going on, while others quickly realized what was going on and ran or took cover.

Now this lady had the option to duck under her own chair, but who knows what happened. Maybe somebody else had taken her spot underneath the seat, or she just dove. I think that by the time the man realized what was going on and tried to hide, he saw that he could not hide underneath his chair cause somebody was in there already. This whole time he could quite possibly be still standing up or at least trying to crouch, but not being able to be fully hidden, this cause him to be left wide open to the gunman, thus an easy target.

This is all hypothetical since there are numerous possibilities as to how this one incident happened. However, the main thing is that when a person hears something or feels in danger, the first thing to do is to find cover. And I think that the lady who made the statement just took the first hiding spot she could find. Unless you have a family or are in a battalion full of Marines, we do tend to think about our own survival when we are in danger.

Grumble grumble

Today I find myself in the odd(but rapidly becoming more and more of a thing) position of being in a really bad mood. The day does not start right when you open your fridge and realize that you have nothing to eat for breakfast. It also does not help to be bombarded with phone calls first thing when you walk into your office space.

I think I miss the CITY too much. By city I mean NYC. Sometimes I think that I should have moved back to New Jersey when I got out of the Marine Corps. I stayed here in San Diego because I was trying to get back into the Marines(thank god no more). I was trying to get station here as a Prior Service, but that did not happen. As a matter of fact, I am glad to be a civilian now and not be invloved in the Marines anymore. Don't get me wrong, I love the Marine Corps, but moving on is also good. Which brings me to today. It is time to move on and go back to the place where I feel the most at home. I have my family, friends and possible life mate there. Perhaps I'll talk about her in these blogs in the coming day.

As of right now the bill are preventing me from saving any real money for the move. Thus my wishes to become a civilan employee with the government. I work for the government as a contractor right now. However, if I become a governement employee and I am able to get a job in the East Coast, my move would be pay by them. I like the job that I do, but it is not enough to pay the bills. So the hunt for better pay continues. Speaking of work, I should be doing that right now instead of blogging.

A Labour of Love

A Labour of Love

So I find myself at work and felling not all that well, but what can I do. The title to this blog is a reference to the title track to a Dead Can Dance’s song. It is a previously unreleased track that was feature in the BBC program. It is from the time when Dead Can Dance still used the old lead guitar, bass, drum setup before they found their own sound. Great song, with some of the best lyrics by Mr. Brendan Perry if you ask me. If you don’t know who Dead Can Dance is here’s a quick info. They are Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard. Lisa Gerrard should ring a bell, since the split up of Dead Can Dance, she has been working on movie soundtracks like Gladiator and The Insider. Luckily they have gotten back together since their split in 1995 and are working on a tour.

I also feel that the title is an ideal title to my first blog. After all, why else is there a reason to blog away? No money being made, no fame to acquire. Just good old beliefs and feelings being spilled out for all to read.

Hopefully I’ll be writing more stuff as the days tick by. From my views in the video game world, to the good stuff that makes work enjoyable.
